Chad Lavimoniere
Product designer.
Design systems guy.

About me

I'm a product designer and life-long learner based in Brooklyn, NY. I solve big problems for niche user bases and give users practical new powers to get things done. Some of my favorite problems are the ones that require a lot of cross-functional and user collaboration, lateral thinking and experimentation.

When I'm not at work, some of the things I'm learning about these days are how to play the violin, how to make great backyard pizza, growing a pollinator garden, watercolor painting, and keeping an urban sketch notebook.

Arazoo

Collaboration platform for architects

  • Project length: 4 years
  • Team size: 6
  • Role: Designer

Arazoo was a SaaS platform for the architecture and interior design industry that I worked on from 2014 to 2018. The founders of Arazoo were non-technical — a lawyer and an architect who had run a successful NYC construction project management firm for several decades — and they started with a minimal MVP made by a contractor. Once they had their demo-able MVP, I was hired to help bring their vision to life.

Arazoo was acquired by a large building materials manufacturer in 2018
At the time Arazoo was acquired, the platform had thousands of users at top architecture and design firms in the US and Canada, as well as thousands of individual free-tier users.
